Do You Need A VPN If You Use Kodi?

Kodi may just be a media player, but that doesn't mean you don't really need a VPN for it. Far from it, a VPN is almost an integral ingredient when you're trying to cook an evening with friends, popcorn and Lord Of The Rings marathon. More so if you plan on Kodi to make it all happen.

There are a multitude of reasons to stream stuff over Kodi. It's convenient and doesn't offer as many geo censorship issues as Netflix, per se. But when you do get stuck with region restrictions in addons like Made In Canada or iPlayer WWW, then only a Kodi VPN can help you with it by assigning you a regional IP that can help you sort of fool Kodi and gain access to premium Canadian content on Kodi in case of MIC addon and UK's content in case of iPlayer.

Furthermore, while you may still be able to stream content over Kodi, a lot of times, authorities can mistake a legit add-on for another add-on that might not be so "copyright-friendly" and you might end up getting a notice for streaming something totally legit. And we all know you can stream any movie if you own a legit copy of it and even stream it over Kodi, but there's a high chance they aren't aware of this fact and that's another reason why you need to conceal your IP over Kodi, even when you're fully abiding the laws.
